Status: Pre-Construction
Client: Vector Developments
In 2016, we won an international competition for the transformation of civic spaces within a newly constructed residential village three hours outside of Moscow. The existing development had overlooked the vital nuances of urban planning, and our brief was to address those shortcomings in as simple and effective manner as possible. After devising our concept, we were entrusted with the task of reimagining the entire local landscape, creating new public routes for walking, jogging, and cycling, spaces for play, and squares for the congregation, predominantly using hard landscaping to signify the different arteries.
Our clients yearned for a community where every person felt connected and catered to, a place where people could seamlessly traverse their surroundings, engage in outdoor activities, and bask in the simple pleasures of life. We were called upon to bridge the gap between the fragmented components of this village and to breathe life into its public spaces.
